Congratulations, your blog has been nominated as a Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger Blog!
The award was created to honor those whose blogs who exemplify the qualities Katherine “Kitty” Katt has -- those who always stay cutting edge, who always find the fun, the funny, and the cool, and who are always one step ahead of the competition. The “Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger Award” is only given to the amazingly awesome, so get down with your bad self, you’re deemed worthy to run with the A-C’s! And you’re also one step closer to being in the running for some cool prizes. (Contest is international.) Now you get to spread the awesome by nominating other bloggers who are also harder, better, faster and stronger than the average blog bear. Not everyone’s as cool as you, so choose carefully! Your mission details:
Of course, you can choose to ignore your awesomeness, but then you’ll never have a chance to nab your own A-C or win the loot. And you know you want both. Contest runs from Wednesday, September 28, 2011 through Friday, October 21, 2011. International Contest! Are you cool, fun, funny, and always cutting edge? Let’s hope you are, because we’ve got a new Battle Royale going on right now to see which blogger is the one who best exemplifies the qualities that Katherine “Kitty” Katt has (and gets more of) in Alien Proliferation. In other words, we want to find out who’s the hardest, the best, the fastest, and the strongest. Why do you want to win? Well, the Grand Prize Winner will get a Fight the Fuglies Starter Kit. This includes a limited edition signed Gini Koch purse/totebag, a Touched by an Alien pen, and an Alien Collective baseball cap. ![]() But wait, there’s more! The Battle Royale winner will ALSO receive a signed and personalized ARC of Book 4 of the Alien/Katherine “Kitty” Katt Series -- Alien Proliferation. That’s right, the coolness of the Fight the Fuglies kit AND a hot off the presses ARC! How can you pass this battle up? That’s right -- you can’t! So…get ready to RUMBLE! But what about those who fight mightily, but don’t win it all? Glad you asked! There will be four consolation prizes!
Timeline Contest runs from Wednesday, September 28, 2011 through Friday, October 21, 2011. Last day to advise Gini you’ve entered is October 24, 2011. In order to share the loot at least somewhat fairly, once you win a Swag Pack, you're out of the running for any of the others. Winners should receive their Packs in 4-6 weeks. If it’s going to take longer for some reason (like deadlines, of which I somehow have more than when I left for the Con), we’ll let you know. Check it out, gang -- all the coolness in one place! Keep your eyeballs peeled for the next contest and remember, you too could be a winner...next time... Week One Question: What are the neames of all of Kitty's pets, both living and presumed deceased? Week One Winner/Answer: Tracie Rollins Mickey, Minnie, Carradine, Oingo, Boingo, Candy, Kane, Sugarfoot, Duke, Duchess, Dottie, and Dudley Prize Selected: $10 Amazon gift certificate (used to *sniff* pre-order "Alien Tango") Week Two Question: What/who's your favorite fugly from "Touched by an Alien"? (Name and/or description.) Week Two Winner/Answer: Carien Ubink I have to go for 'Grandpa' Mephistopheles. It's because he's not just a fugly, but an intelligent fugly. I love my baddies to be intelligent and charismatic I must confess. Prize Selected: Limited edition signed Gini Bag ('cause style is EVERYTHING) Week Three Question: Who is your favorite male character in "Touched by an Alien" and why? Week Three Winner/Answer: Brooke Nelissen Do you even need to ASK me that?! LOL. READER. Because he's hot and sassy and totes Kitty's soul mate and I keep the hope alive for some Reader/Kitty/Insert hot guy here action down the road. Prize Selected: $10 iTunes gift card ('cause tunes MATTER, baby!) Week Four Question: What is it you like best about Kitty? Week Four Winner/Answer: Amber Scott Oh man! There's so much I LOVE about Kitty. Her bottomless purse, her sense of humor, the fact that she gets to kiss Martini. I totally dig that she didn't have a clue about Christopher. I was right there with her on glare #4. My most favorite thing, aside from Jeff, is that she thinks so quickly on her feet. Panic later. Act now. Prize Selected: Signed and personalized copy of "Touched by an Alien" (signed to and sent to her sister...what a sweetie!) Prize List
